Possibly my favourite outfit of the moment.

I'm wearing:

Jacket: Vintage

Jeans: Lee Riders

Bag: Sportsgirl. This bag is perfect for almost everything! Work, classes, shopping, lunch etc. I think I have used it almost everyday since I bought it.

Shoes: I bought these shoes at a small shoe store in Paris. When I was in Paris everyone seemed to be wearing the 'sneaker wedge.' I was a bit hesitant at first to buying them, but I'm so glad I did! They're super comfy while still being fashionable.

More Paris purchases! I bought both the shoes and top in Paris. I'm really liking the peplum styles that are out at the moment. I can't wait for the weather to heat up so I can wear this outfit more often!

Statement jewellery is the best way to dress up an outfit.
This spiked necklace is one of the many things I bought at H&M in Paris. I'm really surprised by how many outfits it goes with!

Parisian Vintage!

The vintage clothing shops in Paris were amazing, both the regular and designer! Montemarte and the Marais were the best areas for cheap vintage clothing. It seemed Paris has a never ending supply of vintage! The best shops I went to were Vintage Desir, Free P Star and Hippy Market.

For designer vintage I thought the most impressive shops were at the Saint Ouen flea markets. When we got off the metro the markets we first saw sold cheap, fake designer goods, and I was worried the flea markets wouldn't be what we had thought. However we eventually did find the area of the flea markets we had read about. It was huge, apparently one of the largest in Europe. These markets were very different to those at home. It was vintage designer and antique heaven!

Here are some photos of the shops.

Paris Holiday Snaps!

Pari J'adore!

On Saturday I returned to Perth after two lovely weeks in Paris! I spent my time there shopping, sightseeing and eating lots of delicious pastries. I went to some amazing vintage and fabric shops. I also went to the Louis Vuitton Marc Jacobs at Les Arts Décoratifs but I'll write more about that in my next posts.

Here are just some of the many photos I took while I was there.

Notre Dame

Eiffel Tower

Shakespeare and Company: This would have to be the best book shop I have ever been to! The walls were filled with books, both second hand and new. They even had someone playing a piano upstairs. I couldn't leave without buying anything, so I bought myself a book on Twiggy.

Champs-Élysées: Where we spent a lot of time shopping!

Inside Mussee D'Orsay

Opera House: We had decided to take a look inside the Opera house, however it was closed due to filming. It turned out they were filming a scene for the next Smurfs movie!

Bastilles Day
Bastilles Day: one of the few sunny days we had in Paris!

**The green blaser I am wearing in a few of these photos is from H&M. I cannot believe the amount of clothes I bought there! One day my sister and I were asking for directions to the nearest H&M store - we were then corrected - "Oh you mean hushem" This was both confusing and hilarious. We really had to try not to laugh!

I celebrated my 18th birthday with a French themed party on Saturday night. I dressed up as French queen, Marie Antoinette. Other costumes included Brigitte Bardot, a french fry, can can dancers, mimes, Madeline and of course lots of stripes and berets! The night was spent dancing, chatting and eating lots of French desserts! Here some photos from the night! Thanks to judeseye.blogspot.com and anyone who happened to use my camera for the photos!

A couple of weeks ago I attended a 1950s themed 18th birthday party! Instead of buying something new to wear, I wore a dress from a previous post (http://misshunterrose.blogspot.com.au/2011/08/records-and-swing-dancers.html) and styled it with cat eye glasses and an up-do to enhance the 1950s look!

Today I went for a picnic with a few friends and despite the heat we had a great time. We spent the afternoon chatting, taking photos and eating far too much!

What I wore: A dress from Miss Paisley Vintage (I liked it too much to sell!)

Picnic food!

Abi's amazing nails!

Strike a pose!
