Ishka Earrings

I bought these earrings today and as soon as I got home I raided my wardrobe for an outfit to match. The earrings are an Ishka design. The main focus of Ishka is on the selling of hand made goods and taking a strong approach towards eliminating poverty.  Ishka stores are located in Victoria, however I purchased my earrings at Precious Gifts in Guildford W.A.

Here is the link to the Ishka website:

The jacket I am wearing was purchased at the We Heart Vintage market in Mount Lawley. I love its bright colours and bold patterns!

I bought these shoes last week at Sportsgirl and surprisingly, they are very comfortable.
The Ginger Wood Clogs are on sale at the moment for only $48.95.

Colours in the Shade

Coco Chanel once said "before you leave the house, look in the mirror and take one thing off." Today my sister went against Chanel's advice and wore 13 bracelets! However she looked super stylish and not at all 'over-accessorised.'

So for today's outfit post, I did not look in the mirror and take one thing off (Sorry Chanel!)
I am wearing a chunky beaded necklace, not quite 13 but 6 beaded bracelets and a thrifted skirt with a tribal pattern.

So what are your thoughts on this Coco Chanel quote? Is less more? Or is it the more the better?

Here is my new favourite dress. I picked it up in an op-shop not long ago and would you believe it, for only $7! What a bargain! It is a handmade dress from the sixties. I imagine it had belonged to a 1960s mod living in London who shopped regularly on canarby street and kings road... well that's my fantasy anyway...

Welcome to my blog!

First of all, let me introduce myself.
I'm Hunter Rose, a self-confessed fashion addict, with a love for all things vintage. For a while now I have been reading fashion blogs and have finally decided to write one of my own. I will use my blog to share my thoughts on the latest trends, designers, shops and fashion in general.

The cane chair I used in this photograph belonged to my Great Great Grandmother. It was used in the reception area of her hair salon. This chair was the perfect accessory for my outfit.
